The support group of the Environment Network for Manchester (which hosts the Sustainable Neighbourhoods Pool) will be meeting with Sarah Davies, the Programme Director for Manchester’s Green City agenda, on 14th December 06.
We’ll be discussing the progress and challenges to the Green City campaign (to make Manchester the ‘greenest city’ in the UK – see www.manchestergreencity.co.uk for more information), share ideas and identify any synergies we can facilitate between environmental groups and other green initiatives in the city.

Can Sarah tell us what the main aims of this Green City initiative are? I believe it’s been going a year but I’ve heard very little. Can she outline the targets and timetables, and commit to a yearly review with results published on a website and in MCC’s printed literature?
